Q: Lion 10.7.2 upgrade and HDMI video issue

This is my configuration:

- Mac Mini 2011

- 4gb ram

- intel i5 processor 2.3ghz

- intel Hd graphics 3000

- hdmi output directly connected with a full hd philips tv with a standard 1.4 hdmi cable

After the 10.7.2 upgrade I had 2 problems:

1) finder infinite loop at startup (but I've solved by deleting the ds_store files that are under desktop and my profile folders)

2) video driver problem

For the second one I haven't find a solution. I'm now rolling back the system to 10.7.1 version

Probably is a problem of the new video driver that is inside the upgrade

I've already try to reset PRAM and NVRAM but it didn't solved...

After 10-15 minutes (with no one program open except finder) the image disappear from the screen for

2/3 seconds and then come back, but all colors are missing. The screen image have a strange "blue" dominant.

To restore the situation to normally I've to go inside preference - monitor and switch to another resolution (for example 1080i)

and then re-select the 1080p again. But after 10-15 minutes the problem reappears. It's impossible to see a movie in this situation...

Does anyone have my same problem and did find a solution?

LATEST NEWS: after system roll-back at 10.7.1 the issue is "magically" disappeared...    :)

Sure... is working perfectly with 10.7.3 upgrade!

After you've installed the update you must only recopy the folder in the same path

(In my case the folder was deleted by the upgrade)

Thanks for the workaround and file!

    Works like a charm.

I was so frustrated by the inversion every 10-20 min!

    Hi everyone!

I have had the exact same problems since 10.7.2 update.

My previous fix was connecting to my tv via minidisplayport-vga-vga-hdmi!!!

This has worked OK until i found this fix today.

    My system is:

    Mac Mini late 2011

    2.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7

    AMD Radeon HD 6630M

    8GB Ram

    90gb OCZ Vertex III(mod) + Standard 5400 SATA 500gb(original)

This was connected to a Philipst FTV PFL478404H/12 and was working fine until release of update 10.7.2.

Anyways, after applying this fix i actually had to reboot twice until everything was working perfectly, experienced picture lag on the first reboot. Dunno why.

    BUT PERFECT NOW THANK U!!!!

Do you have an override or at least the vendor Id to check if there is any override for the Sony Bravia TV. It stopped working after I updated to Lion 10.7.3 and maybe is because a bad override by apple?

Thank you very much, this fix did work very well for me with my Phillips 42PFL5604H/12. I spend several quids to try few adapters unfortunatelly.

    Hi everybody.

Now after upgrading to mountain lion the same thing is happening, has anyone got a fix for that too. This helped fix the problem in lion but it doesn't seem to be working in mountain lion. Is there another file to paste in there that maybe someone has to share?

The lion fix works fine for me on ML. I forgot to put it in the overrides folder at first. are you sure you put the folder and file on the overrides folder?

Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes I put it in the override folder. But it didn't work. But now I removed everything from the override folder and put only this folder that a genius had found out here before for lion. It seems to be working. I hope it will work now without any problems.

    Hi everyone,

just wanted to say it is still working without turning to green. What I did was remove everything from overrides folder and copy only this folder into it, then it does work, for me :-)
