cannot download bootcamp support

New MBP

 

I have made my windows partition and installed Win 7

 

When I try to download the support drivers I continually get

 

Download could not continue

 

"an error occured while downloading windows support software"

 

I have a live connection to the internet (typing this now)

 

10.6.8

2.2ghz quad core

8g ram

MBP, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

    Your sig says you are on Snow Leopard.

    Use your OS X DVD in Windows for drivers

    Boot Camp Assistant Lion 4.01, you have to wait and wait, and recheck your proxy settings and DNS probably.

    And yes for a small (620MB) package it makes me wonder.

     

    I saw people are also saying download for installing Lion or Lion combo update are also slow snails too (in case you thought 4GB or 1.5GB would be lickety split with 30Mb cable).

     

    Or like when iOS 5 came out and millions of concurrent attempts to download during the first week (after which it went down like honey).

     

    10s of millions will hit MSDN on 29th to grab Windows 8 Consumer Public Preview. It will not be like this.
