Feb 19, 2012 2:15 PM in response to BoBo1by David Harbsmeier,★HelpfulYou have Range Check (or Excess Luma) turned on. You can turn it off using the drop-down menu at the top of the Canvas window or in the View menu.
FWIW, the green checkmark means that levels are OK. The yellow triangle mean the luminance levels are too hot.

Feb 19, 2012 2:38 PM in response to David Harbsmeierby BoBo1,Thank You, David..........
What a relief !............both the green checkmark and yellow warning have gone away. I had no idea what these symbols meant, or where to look for help.
Thanks to the people like you who keep these forums invaluable.
