Q: which of the power adapters can i use in Peru, South America?

Hello:

I'll be travelling down to Peru next month and I need to know which of the power adapters I can use there to charge my laptop. The electricity is 220v in Peru and not 110v like the U.S.

You don't need to worry about voltage, as the power supply will operate on 50-60 Hz and 100-240 Volts.

You just need to have the right adapter to fit the AC socket.

Most Mac equipment these days adapts to 110 Volt 208 Volt or 220 Volt power, 50 or 60 Hz, automatically. For a MacBook, you would need a power cord that ends in the local plug or an adapter from local plug to US standard "parallel two prong, U-ground".

For advice on specific equipment, you would need to post the model, and Readers will try to look it up for you.
