Feb 21, 2012 1:43 AM in response to Shootist007by flowirin,i think the main difference is a 2.3 Ghz processor in the mc700x/a and a 2.4Ghz in the md313x/a
i can't find any performance info on the 'net, nor an identifier for the intel chip used. both are dual core.the 2.3Ghz models may be guilty of display issues?

Feb 21, 2012 4:41 AM in response to OGELTHORPEby eww,Ogelthorpe and Matthew: There is a surprising and unfortunate mistake in the article Ogelthorpe has linked, which is directly pertinent to Matthew's question. Apple has inadvertently switched the model numbers of the 2.3 and 2.7 GHz early-2011 models in that article. They are given correctly in the Apple spec sheet for those models:
http://support.apple.com/kb/SP619
They are also correct in the EveryMac spec sheets I linked above.

Feb 21, 2012 4:57 AM in response to ewwby eww,In brief, the MC700 was the bottom of the MBP line in early 2011 and the MD313 replaced it at the bottom in October. Apart from the trivial difference in processor speeds and the sizes of the standard hard drives (320GB vs. 500GB), they have identical hardware.

Ciao.
