…have back Email Notification Preferences that work?

Since the last fiddle with this site, despite my preferences being all set to NO!, I have been getting email notifications.

I don't want my inBox stuffed with these thank you.

    Hi Peter,

Sorry for the inconvenience.  I have removed all of your subscriptions.

    Best regards,

    Tim

Removing the subscriptions isn't enough, Tim. We need an option to turn off the emails that get sent when someone marks a post Helpful or Correct, something which currently happens automatically with no user option to suppress them. I don't want these emails and am getting really weary of receiving them, as are many of us, particularly those of us who are frequent responders.

    Thanks.

I send all my forum output to an id that I rarely use.

You could set up a forum folder on you email account.  Set up a filter  in your email program to route all forum email you do not want to this folder.

Agree with Dave, since the  maintenance this past weekend we've been receiving emails when a post of ours gets a helpful or solved. There is no way to turn this off.

Please get this resolved and while you're at it see if you can do something about the inability to minimize the Discussions block at the top of the listings this is also new since the weekend.

    thanks

It's already trashed, but Mail in Mac OS X still notifies on it. And if I'm checking on some other platform, my iPad for instance, there's no way to filter it. So just using a junk/spam filter isn't a real solution; we need an option to keep it from being sent at all. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

    Regards.

Oh, and while you're helping out with all these funnies, any chance of sorting out the constant need to sign in every few minutes.   It's very tiresome, you know.

    +1   Absolutely maddening.

Especially if you upgraded iPad 1 to iOS 5 and Safari quits every several minutes.

Add me to the list of users who do not want to get these emails.
