Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore.

If that does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware issue that will need to be addressed with Apple.

Keep in mind that warranty and support are only valid in the country where the device was originally sold by Apple or an authorized reseller.  In your case, that would involve getting the device back to the US for service.

It would not matter if there were an Apple store there. The warranty is ONLY valid in the country of origin. If it needs service, you will have to either take it to the US or send it to someone there to have it serviced.

If the 30 day return window is not enough, someone should have thought of that before buying one in the US instead of Israel. There are 3 supported carriers in Israel, all of whom sell unlocked cell phones. In circumventing the legal tarrifs and duties in place to try and save a little money, you've learned an expensive lesson.

Of course, if you can get it back to the US before the 1 year warranty expires, you can get it replaced.

Out of the many millions of iPhones that have been sold, some are bound to have problems. One person buying one phone is not a representative sample.

You made the choice to purchase it in the US. Now you're dealing with the consequences of that choice.

Oh for cryin out loud. Get over it. Nothing in this world is perfect. Life isn't fair. If you need it serviced, it has to come back to the US to do so. Get over it.
