Apr 12, 2010 5:05 AM in response to eccparisby Reuben Feffer,Great news. The iPad Keyboard Dock will be a useful accessory for many iPhone users, come Summer 2010. -
Apr 12, 2010 9:39 AM in response to Reuben Fefferby eccparis,What's more, I saw on another thread (under iPad) that the iPhone AC adapter already works with the iPad. (The iPad AC adapter is 10 W, but the iPhone adapter is 5 W. Thus it takes the iPhone adapter 2X as long to charge an iPad.)
Which also means we won't have to buy a separate iPad AC adapter to use with the iPad keyboard dock and iPhone 3GS come Summer 2010! I'm already drooling... -
Apr 12, 2010 9:33 PM in response to eccparisby dingdangdawg,I love this keyboard dock!!!!! I tried it with my 2G iPod Touch, and it doesn't work. Sure hope Apple adds support, 'cause it would be great to type longer notes on my Touch using the thing.... -
Apr 13, 2010 12:49 PM in response to dingdangdawgby eccparis,I love this keyboard dock!!!!!
but wait, I thought this keyboard dock won't be available until late April even in the US? how did you get your hands on one?
I also saw somewhere else that the iPhone OS 4 when released this summer will work on 2G iPod Touch, too. Hopefully it will also allow you to use the iPad keyboard dock with your iPod Touch! -

Feb 23, 2012 1:37 PM in response to Matthew Morganby jochemdb,Thanks for the quick reply and the info on the wireless keyboard.
But I'm trying to figure out whether the iPad keyboard dock http://store.apple.com/nl/product/MC533Z/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4OTY might not be an even better option as it potentially could hold the iphone upright (like it does the ipad)

Mar 24, 2012 7:08 PM in response to jochemdbby Tracey Horn,I have an iPad keyboard dock that I used with the orignal iPad. Tonight I found it in a dusty closet and wondered if it would work with my iphone 4s. Plugged it which wasn't particularly easy but when I got the angle right, it worked as I was able to start a message in Notes. But it did pop up a message after exiting Notes that this device is not compatible with the iphone or something to that effect. I did not have the dock connected to a power supply so I don't know if it will permit typing and charging. But it will allow you to type on the iPhone 4s at least in Notes:)
