Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info, then select Power from the left hand column of the System Profiler. Copy and paste the Battery Information back here.

Just had the same problem of my macbook not charging. My fix: clean contacts on the charger with non lint cloth and spray a little alcohol on to the socket of the macbook. Use a small amount of compress air and blow it dry. These actions basically enable proper electrical contacts. Try these basic steps first before you go charging on to reseting the PRAM. Now it's charging beautifully. I will need to treat the macbook charger with some respect now and not letting it lying around on the carpet floor when not using it. Hope this helps. Enjoy your macbook!
