Option-boot into Startup ManagerIf you can't find an OS to boot into, then use your SL Install Disk to erase and re-install and start over. Going to MAS > Purchases and holding option key, you'll be able to re-download the Lion installer.

Sounds like your HDD has failed, but not necessarily.
Reset SMC and PRAM and try to start. If you still get the flashing question mark folder, continue with these steps.
Try booting to Lion Recovery using Command R. If Lion Recovery is not found, it should switch to Internet Lion Recovery.
Assuming either version of Lion Recovery works, you may need to repartition a Mac HD volume and reinstall. Here's what you should do:
If the HDD is not recognized, you need a hardware repair.
If the HDD is recognized but the Mac HD is not, you will need to create a new partition and reinstall.
If the Mac HD is recognized, repair disk and restart to test; if the issue persists, reinstall.
