I'm running Lion OS on an iMAC. Experienced the wifi - connectivity problems in regard to the Sleep function. In addition to this, I was also experiencing multiple drops in connection throughout the day- sometimes 40+ drops a day. iMac was also running extremely slow.  Reconnecting was not always easy, I would get multiple "time outs" and other times my network couldn't be found at all.

Since updating yesterday as per a gracious poster who posted this update

my iMAC is running faster. I have only had the wifi connect upon sleep problem twice, but it resolved itself quickly when I found my network and just clicked on it in the drop down. I have not had any drops since. I'm wondering how others are faring with the new update?

Worked flawlessly for me since I applied the update on Friday 2/24!

Glad the problem has been resolved!

I have updated the wifi yesterday on my Imac of January 2012 but I have had the wifi connect upon sleep problem twice and more.

    The problem isn't resolved ....

    I'm getting very desperate.

Has anyone been able use this update with an older iMac?  Mine is a mid-2007 that has the wake from sleep issue.  I've been hesitant to try 10.7.3 since others have had a problem with it.

Thanks for the super fast response.  I'm going to be gone for the rest of the day so I'll give it a try tomorrow.  I'll keep you posted on the result.  By the way,  my problem started after the upgrade to Lion last year.  I solved it by replacing my router and then my modem.  But lately the wake from sleep has come back along with the occasional drop.  I would love to get this settled once and for all.

This update most definitely worked for me!

    Hi.

This Wi-Fi update 1.0 indeed fixed reconnecting after sleep, but I'm still having dropouts (wifi bars grayed out, imac tries to reconnect without luck). My iMac is mid-2010

You shouldn't have a problem with the older iMAC. My friend has the older version, (mid '07) and did the update and said it's working great with no issue so far.

There is no way she could have preformed the iMac update on her 2007 model.

This update was only for 2009 iMac models and newer....

After a struggle of 8 months ( I bought a brand new 2011 Imac last summer and unfortunately upgraded after 3 weeks to Lion), the just released patch does not solve the issue...

Still the same problem: after getting the machine awake the wifi-icon shows an exclamation mark; sole solution: put wifi off and reconnect... This is causing much frustration. I'm about to put the whole **** on ebay and get back to a working Windows-machine. My disappointment is hugh !!!!!
