I just purchased a MacBook Pro.  I've been using a Magic Mouse with my iMac with Lion.  The MacBook Pro is also Lion.  I'm a novice with hardware and can't seem to get my MacBook Pro to recognize the Magic Mouse. Blue Tooth is running on both machines, the mouse is right next to my MacBook, I've gone to system preferences and chosen the Mouse but it just keeps searching.  When checking on the Battery Power of the mouse with my iMac, I see I have 51%.  On the iMac when I click onto "Set Up Bluetooth Mouse", undered "Paired Devices" it lists "User's Mouse" and "Connected".  Under "Available Devices" nothing is listed.  On the MacBook when I click onto System Preferences, and click onto the Mouse,  it just continues to look for the mouse and doesn't find it.I hope I've given enough information to be able to get some suggestions.  It must be something I'm missing.  Thanks.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

The mouse won't pair with a new machine while it's connected to another Mac.  There are  ways to pair with both machines and only connect to one but it would be easier to just disconnect and unpair it from your iMac, then it will be recognized and pair with the MacBook Pro.

To unpair on the iMac, Go to System Preferences > Bluetooth > click on the mouse on the left > click the "-" icon below the list.
