When I start up iTunes it uses up 50% of my CPU capacity and AppleMobilDeviceService is using up the remaining 50% of my CPU capacity.

Then the computer just freezes.

When I close iTunes the AppleMobilDeviceService keeps using the 50% of CPU capacity. I have to turn it off manually every time I reboot.

Syncing my iPhone 3 is not possible in this state. How to fix this.

I'm running iTunes version 10.5.3.3 and the OS on my laptop is XP Pro.
