    Where?

In Mail on your Mac, or in webmail through Safari at http://www.icloud.com ?

And slow in what way specifically? Sending, receiving, generally?

Since converting to the cloud and using IE at work Mail keeps crashing and sending reports to Apple, no doubt that means it will be fixed soon! :-)

However I am unable to search ALL for anything, spinny wheel until it says mail unavailable.

A giant leap backwards for mankind, to paraphrase a famous comment.

i am about to give up on icloud.  their web-client is so slow and completely unstable when running an internal search.    why would i back up any data to icloude when i can not depend on easily and conveniently accessing my historical emails?

Apple, get this fixed ASAP please.

It's so bad on my PC at work! Very frustrating! Super slow, very quirky...very UN Apple like! I feel like getting AOL or something.  On my Mac, my mail works great, it's just icloud.com.  This really is one of the reasons that I like the Apple eco-system so that all my devices are synced and that I can access them from any computer.  I have faith that Apple will correct this....PLEASE correct this.

Could it be that their server is just too overloaded with icloud accounts?

the unbearably slow speed of icloud is very disappointing because I ama staunch Apple supporter and use most of their products.  But come on Apple............you can do better than icloud as it is.  EVERY outgoing email stops midstream while I am typing, then after 45 to 60 seconds it starts to allow me to continue to type...........  I have an ultra fast cable connection, using a variety of fast PC's and have tried Safari, Google, and Windows Explorer and have the same problem.

Any ideas............other than switching email services?

iCloud mail has been incredibly slow today and freezing up for me as well. It took at least 3 minutes for a simple e-mail with one line of text to be sent and froze up my Safari while the email was trying to send. And then it stopped connecting to the server altogether for sending and my inbox.  I ended up deleting the account in mail and adding it back inand now Mail has to re-download everything but its taking forever because it's only downloading at 3kb/s.  My Macbook Pro has a Core i7 processor with 16MB of DDR3 RAM and with a high speed fiber connection (wired connection to the router).

Has anyone figured this out?   I just got done spending like an hour to compose a 200 word email under Chrome because Safari on Windows does not work anymore.   I could not believe how slow it was especially at 540am in the morning...

Very clever..and disappointing Apple!  The icloud email is so slow on my pc that I am forced to use my MacBook Air for icloud emails and needed to set it up next to my pc which I use for everything else.  Surely Apple can find a fix for unbearably slow email on pc's.  Does anyone have any ideas?
