    If you mean the camera connection kit then it has limited capability - it's for copying photos and videos to the Photos app on the iPad, and not for copying documents or other content. A lot of USB sticks and card readers also require more power than is supplied to the kit, so you may need a powered hub.

     

    For the photos/videos to be recognised you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the stick, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them.
