You can't merge apple IDs if that's what you mean.

But yes you can combine iTunes libraries, if that is what you mean.

It is crazy, following the instructions when setting up myiPad I accidentally setup a new ID now my phone and iPad are on diff accounts and itunes and appstore are out of sync as well.  Come on Apple sort this stuff out it is simple enough to do -

    1. prove you own both accounts

    2. chose 1 of them to be 'the account'

    3. merge the 2 sets of Appstore and iTunes and iCloud to 'the account'

    Piece of cake...

What seems like a piece of cake to you may be a nightmare on the back end for database changes and maintenance and licensing with the content owners. But you can comment to Apple via their feedback pages:

My problem is the same about not being able to merge 2 accounts because of the MobileMe issue, but now the apps that I purchased on my iphone won't work on my phone.  Any idea how to fix that?  They won't even open. Can I at least transfer those to my other Apple ID acct?

No, you can't transfer apps from one iTunes Store account to another. But it probably wouldn't help with an issue of apps not being able to launch on the iPhone unless it's giving you an error message about the app not being authorized. I'd suggest you ask for assistance with that problem in the iPhone forum; it may be as simple as just restarting or resetting your iPhone.

    Regards.

How do I prove I own both accounts?

Would you give more detail on the rest of your instructions?

    Thanks,

    DJ,

Stevebarnett99 was not giving actual instructions.  He was only describing how he thinks Apple should handle such requests.

However, as has been pointed out several times in this thread and 100s of other threads, Apple does not allow merging of accounts.  Content purchased from the iTunes Store is permanently tied to the account from which it was originally purchased.

It appears that there are a whole bunch of us that have multiple accounts and this really stinks that we cannot merge the Music etc. That we have purchased into a single account so our own ineptitude costs us $ ??? Is there 3rd party apps that can merge our music?

Nothing has changed in the year and a half since this thread was created. It remains impossible to merge iTunes Store accounts. No third-party app or service can do anything about that. That has nothing to do with merging iTunes libraries, though, which from your brief description seems to be more your aim. Perhaps if you start your own topic detailing what it is you wish to accomplish, someone here will be able to help.

    Regards.

Yes you can "merge the Music."  Just put it all into one iTunes library.
