there are many dictionary widgets on the Apple site. Just go to Apple type in widget in the search box, then type in Arabic dictionary into the widget search box

I could not find one, there are about a 1/2 dozen or so but I did not see one for Arabic.

Maybe you can find a download.

    All the best

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about Dictionary.app, a tool for accessing reference dictionaries. If so, the answer is yes, it is possible. You need to find (by searching the Internet) a dictionary file compiled in the correct format. Once you've found it, you install it in </Library/Dictionaries> or <~/Library/Dictionaries>, and then enable it in Dictionary.app's preferences.

    as in Arabic

I believe Apple provides a Japanese dictionary; it is also possible to find Chinese, German, and French dictionaries. I'm not aware of an Arabic dictionary, but I haven't looked for one. (Btw, the French dict is quite old; I use Le Petit Robert, which, unfortunately, is not compatible with Dictionary.app.)

    I didnt understand you completely

    (1) You need to find an Arabic dictionary compatible with the Mac OS X dictionary format.

    (2) If you find such a dictionary, you copy it either to

    • the folder Dictionaries in the folder Library at the topmost level of your hard disk

    or to

    • the folder Dictionaries in the folder Library in your Home folder

    (3) After copying it, you enable it using the Preferences command of the Dictionary application.

    (4) The difficult part of the job is finding an Arabic dictionary. I do not know if such a dictionary exists.
