Mar 7, 2012 2:06 AM in response to mdesignffmby David Mclaine,Hi,
Can you post another clip into your dropbox, this time make it a little longer. It is showing as .26 sec which I don't think is long enough as it isn't even 50 frames long. Try a clip of around 5 - 10 seconds.

could you conform this clip or not? just throw it on your cinema tools and see whether the conform button is greyed out or available. then input 25 if available...
thank you

Mar 7, 2012 3:48 AM in response to mdesignffmby David Mclaine,No I cannot conform but it may be because the clip doesn't have enough frames to conform, that's why I need a longer clip. Having said this I think it may be the conversion method that is your problem.

thank you very much for your feedback! highly appreciate this!
on both my system and that of a friend, the short clip behaves just as the longer ones. now it does on your system, too. :-(
so i guess you are right, the problem seems to occur somewhere along conversion. strange, though, that this is true for both clipwrap and aunsoft converted clips. and as i wrote before - i used standard templates in both programs. no fiddling around with parameters.
i get crazy.

Mar 7, 2012 5:32 AM in response to mdesignffmby David Mclaine,Hi,
Comforms with no problems after converting to Pro Res. looks like it's your aunsoft converter that is the problem. As Shane said earlier, very unreliable. I think the OP had the trial version of Clipwrap and that didn't work either, maybe because it wasn't the full version or maybe he just rewrapped instead of converting, who knows.

Mar 7, 2012 5:36 AM in response to David Mclaineby David Mclaine,Another thought , post your email address if you like and I'll share a folder on dropbox with you and send you the converted file to try in CT. If it works we have the problem solved !

good news - thank you!
i tried clipwrap trial 2.4.7., both as converted and rewrapped file. same result.
i would very much like to test your converted file. can't you just post the public link here (ie put the file in your dropbox folder 'public', then ctrl click the file and see under 'dropbox')? sharing folders is not very handy, and i do not really want to post my email address here...
thank you!

Mar 7, 2012 5:49 AM in response to mdesignffmby David Mclaine,Ok, done. Didn't know how to do that, we're all learning every day! I have a painfully slow connection as we live out in the sticks, so give it time.
Good luck.

Mar 7, 2012 6:25 AM in response to David Mclaineby David Mclaine,Ok, here's an update.
I just converted your mts file with clipwrap trial version 2.0.8 and it conformed no problem in CT version 4.0.1.
When you tried to conform your clips, how long were they, I believe clipwrap will only convert the first minute in trial mode. Try converting the short clip you sent me, see what happens.

thank you so much - we nailed it. the clip you sent to me conforms easily on my system as well. :-)
so, clipwrap 2.4.7 is the bad guy. this is the most recent version, and i obviously did not use this version 2 years ago when everything would conform fine.
i already googled an old clipwrap 2.0 version and installed it. everything works fine with that one. great.
now i need to find a way to buy a serial for that. but i will find a way.
thank you so much!!!

Shane directed me to this thread. I'm one of the developers of ClipWrap. I'm downloading your mts now to test internally. Send us an email at dmsupport@divergentmedia.com and we can find a way to fix this, or at least help you get running with some older version.
