....and this is precisely why I am going to end up throwing this in the garbage, and why I have already bought an Android phone to replace my Apple product.
No one from apple will help. GREAT help if i want to buy something, but when I need my product fixed, nothing.
Then I come to the Apple Community with all these so called experts, and nothing here either in terms or a response, assistance, acknowledgement, etc;
I have posted the same issue in both the iPAD, and the ATV2 forums, with not a single response to either.
Its very frustrating when you buy a product, to use it the way its marketed, and you cant even do that. I like to think Ive spent enough money to run this all together.
Last kick at the can - you can obv tell I am frustrated - someone help. Please :"(

Have you verified that there is no other network activity? It's not the internet speed that counts here but rather your LAN and mirroring requires a lot from the network.

I don't believe that AirPlay mirroring really works that well for action gaming. You're always going to see some lag since the game is running on the iPad and not the Apple TV. It's probably okay for casual gaming and non-action graphics but PERHAPS not for the titles you've mentioned.
Thus I suspect there may be nothing that you can do (other than connecting the iPad directly to the TV over HDMI -- assuming that those games support video out -- which they may not). I'd love to be proven wrong on this and maybe you should be asking whether ANYONE is running those games without problems. Be aware, however, that some users will tolerate problems that you might find unacceptable (i.e. "beauty is in the eye of the beholder").

I've been running Real Racing 2 HD without issue

thanks for the response
well how would I "free up" additional LAN ? (if that makes sense) not too much of a technical guy when it comes to LAN etc; If it helps I am
In terms of being "picky" not the case here - I gladly accept resolution may not be as good, etc; but Real Racing 2HD is actually unplayable, as it skips/lags for seconds at a time, one moment im on the track on a straight away and the next moment ive crashed into a wall lol.
my router is under my TV, ethernet to the ATV2, if that helps any suggestions for working on the LAN thing

I would make sure there is little to no other activity occuring on the network (i.e. downloads, streaming, backups etc)

OK So assuming i have no other devices or active windows/apps/etc running anything in the background, and the problem still persists, any other suggestions? thanks so much for responding, your the only one.

No problem. Maybe try rebooting the router. I will see if I can find anything else that may be causing this.
