itunes crashes

Please help. I have installed/unistalled/reinstalled itunes 10.6 several times already BUT still the crash error persist. I am using mac os lion 10.7 and below is always what I get when I open itunes. PLEASE help me, I just badly need it to get iBook Author. Your help will be highly appreciated.

    My first guess is that this is a corrupted install for whatever reason. What happens if you delete iTunes with the Terminal app and reinstall it?
