guys I've mentioned this before but I think the main reason that causes battery drain issue is a bug that occurs regularly which is standby = usage , even when the phone is in standby mode the usage will still count as if you're using the phone so basically the phone never goes sleep or standby mode & the battery will last arround 5 hours , I thought 5.1 fixed this but it's still there , after charging the phone to 100% leave it for a few minutes and check the standby & usage if you find the usage is 0 then there is nothing wrong but if you find usage and standby are equal open the cellular data and leave it for a couple of minutes that usually solves the problem at least for me

So after almost 2 days of testing; it's great at home connected to wifi. on 3g it's not very good at all. I'm in the middle of london and it's losing 4 percent battery if i don't do anything. The same phone is losing 1 percent at home with wifi, 3g on, push on..etc
Also I took a few pictures with instagram and check internet 25 mins, I've lost 55 percent of my battery in 4 hours.
I don't care anymore. I will just get along with it...

After performing several iOS 5.1 restores (both DFU and normal), multiple hard resets, draining my battery 100% before recharging around 4 times, I still can't get good battery life. My phone is in bone stock condition. No apps, push email, or iCloud account active. The problem is this:
The phone's usage and standby time is nearly identical.
Something is keeping my phone awake even when it shouldn't be. I thought it was Siri's IR sensor because that stays on even though I have Siri turned off but I can't be sure. I tried going back to iOS 5.0.1 but I can't do that either because iTunes refuses to do that in its infinite wisdom.
I lose around 50% battery overnight when I'm sleeping and the phone isn't in use. This has made the phone almost redundant because I simply can't use it. Apparently the iPhone 4S stopped being a "smartphone" somewhere along the way and has now become nothing more than a first generation phone with paper weight qualities.
I'm sick of all of this. Have been trying to sell this phone but the first thing people check is the battery time and when they see this bug they back off. Tell me Apple, why would you ruin my life like this? Why?
PS: Apple, I was a first time user of your products. Thanks for making sure I never use an Apple product again.
PPS: If any anybody has any idea how I can fix this bug, please let me know. Please.
