Thanks for your reply.....but
I did a search here and someone suggested to launch Image Capture which I did.
When it opens down on the lower left you can choose what application you want iPad to open when you connect it to your iMac. I chose iTunes. So now when I connect my iPad to my iMac, iTunes opens which is what I want.

image capture is a application that you had to download, no ?
I was answering your question assuming that you want what was allready on your iphone and on your mac, not

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.
Image Capture is an application I did not have to download. I didn't know I had it so I went to Spotlight at the upper right hand corner of my iMac and typed in Image Capture and it was in Applications and there I chose to have iTunes open when I connected my iPad to my iMac.
