Q: can I update IOS from 4.3.5 to 5.1 directly?

can I update IOS from 4.3.5 to 5.1 directly without having to go through 5.0.1 ?

I've tried three times and received error message -5000 each time.

Try disabling your anti-virus and/or firewall software and try the update again. You can turn it all back on afterwards.
