No idea how many this is happening to, but it sounds like the Keychain is not being read correctly after a login, or have any user passwords been changed?
Mac OS X 10.4: Keychain Access asks for keychain "login" after changing login password...
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

No there have been no password or user changes. The Keychains are used for several other login items that work with out fail. This has happened to several users. No updates that happened. Its not the end of the world it would just be nice to know why it happens.

Generally, when it needs a password after startup or login, but works the rest of the day with only one input, then it's most likely unable to read it to start with for some reason, but is held in memory or cache until log out.

I have reset the Keychain but this still occurs. What I have noticed is that if the printer is paused for what ever reason I have to re-enter the password.
