you may need to update your itunes or it might be your computer causing this issue

This problem started for me after the iTunes 10.6 update. Before that my current-gen iPod Nano synced without problems, now when I connect it and try to manually choose what tracks I want to sync, iTunes hangs with a never-ending beachball and it has to be force quit. Restoring the iPod does not help and to me it is obvious that the issue is in the latest iTunes version.

Nope, it's definitely not the computer. I haven't had any trouble with iTunes until I received my new iPod Nano today. It's frustrating because anytime I need to add or delete a playlist/photo album it keeps freezing. It looks as though I need to restore factory settings EVERY TIME I need to add a song. NOT cool, Apple!!!!!!!!!!

I have done that about 8 times this morning. Rebooted the computer, asked my husband who is an IT guroo. Finally ended up here and now I see I will have to wait and hope that Apple will have fixed it on the next update, next week.

I recommend call Apple: 1800 MY APPLE
Have them document the issue in the system, and provide a resolution if one is available. If there is none they will work it until they find one.
This "may" fix the issue:
Hope this helps.
