Mar 16, 2012 10:30 AM in response to latashahby bobjbkln,1) If you set up Find My Ipod on the Ipod, you can send it a signal to wipe it via https:/icloud.com). If it gets connected to a wi-fi source, it will get wiped and send you a message.
2) If it had a passcode set AND it was set to wipe after 10 incorrect tries, it will do so.
3) If it has a passcode lock on it, no one can use it unless they go to iTunes and restore it to factory settings which will wipe it.
Note that before it is wiped one can get photos, music, and other data such as contacts off it using third party software, even it is locked)
