I don't get any errors, I just can't refresh station list. It just sits there "Contacting Tuning Service" and nothing happens. It works for some people in the office but it doesn't work for those, it seems, who updated their iTunes recently.

I am not getting the error message....it just hangs.

Clearly, they have the fix.  We spent the weekend (or at least most of it) with everything back to normal. Now....we've returned to where we've been for the past month or more.

I hate to be cynical, but when they demonstrate that they CAN fix the problem, but apparently have chosen not to.....well, it gets harder and harder to keep myself from wondering if it isn't deliberate.

Yet....Apple begs us all to take them seriously.  What's wrong with this picture?

I called Apple support yesterday and they suggested a fix which has solved the indefinite hang problem.

    1. Create a new identity

    2. Open iTunes and then Radio in the new identity

    3. Try contacting streams (mine worked right away, including all the ones that had been hanging)

    4. Switch back to your usual identity

    5. Streams should now come up without a problem

Hope this helps! Worked for me.

You mean create a new Itunes account?  Sorry could you please help to elaborate what you mean by creating a new identity. Thanks

You click on the Apple icon top L, whre you will see a list of user identities. You Log Out as your current identity, then click the plus sign and create a new one. So not a new iTunes account, but a new user identity.

    This is a workaround.

It would be good if Apple could actually solve this issue.  As every day passes it seems more and more unlikely.

Maybe as a shareholder I should be writing to the CEO. If they see it as a financial problem maybe they will do something.

If you call apple HQ they will give you Tim Cook's fax number. As a shareholder, too, I think he should be aware of this and I plan to send a fax.

Fax?  In this day and age?

I started with a general contact message.  My next step will be to get email addresses for the high ups.

I doubt it will make a difference.  It's clear Apple is indifferent to this problem.  New iPad mania, stock near $600, etc.  This is not a priority.

    Apologies, that wasn't my intention.

Just seems funny that they would expect someone to Fax.

I'm going to ignore this whole issuse for a while.  It gets my blood boiling and I don't need that at this point.  Hopefully (I'm always hopeful ) they will resolve it.

I am getting the same error message. Spoke with Apple support yesterday who helped me with itunes 10.6 upgrade crashing. Finally rebuilt itunes library into a new Library media folder but still the same problem with the radio tuner. where is apple on this fix? apple support did not even seem to acknowledge this was a problem when I mentioned the issue.
