I have current version so it updated, it rotates for everything but mail. The whole app stays upside down.

    Try restarting the iPad.

I have the same issue. I have tried rebooting the iPad. Changing some settings by using the button on the side  of the iPad and  its only my Exchange mail that is showing upside down? All over apps are fine

Try this. Quit the Mail app. Double tap the home button  to see the task bar across the bottom. Find the Mail app icon. Tap and hold down on the icon unitl it wiggles. Tap the "-" (minus sign) in the left corner of the icon to close the app. Tap the home button to stop the wiggling, tap on the screen to return to the home screen,

Restart the iPad - hold down the sleep button and when the red slider appears - slide to shut down. Hold down on the sleep button again until the Apple logo appears on the screen and let go of the button. Try the mail app again.

I just encountered this myself on an iPad 2.  Killing the app (first paragraph from Demo) and rebooting solved it.  Now mail will rotate with the iPad.  Thanks!

Like others here, I found that Demo's advice above worked.  Thanks!

I have the 3rd Gen iPad, and encountered the same problem, immediately after adding a new account.

There is no minus sign that appears with the wiggling Mail button (as per Demo's very clear and effective advice concerning iPad2), however, a simple restart of the iPad cleared it right up.

    Thanks!
