In your  "I'm always right view" that is !!!!! Can't be bother getting into further dialogue with you. I have made my feeling very clear about your contribution to this thread in the past. Not really interested in your very one sided and somewhat brainwashed view.

Then put forward a realistic arguement. If this is the only thread you involve yourself in, then at least turn up here with some sort of credible arguement instead of repeating the same old "I liked Spaces, so the whole world wants it back". You are the one most responsible for raising this old thread back to the surface so often just after everyone seemed happy that it had died out due to it's non-productive nature.

You generally sound like a bitter idiot.

I'm intrigued what drives you to write such drivel?

    Best regards

Oh, this poster has a history. Once known as "Mulligans Missus", he appears to have no other reason for coming here than to troll and wind people up. Funny, MM doesn't seem to have learned his lesson. He got banned before for this kind of inflammatory nonsense, and now he's back at it again.

This old thread's non-productive nature is of course your thought about it.

We don't know where software developers get their ideas. I figured I add some length to this old thread's life just to increase the chance it inspires developers.

I've said it before GET A LIFE Pete for goodness sake!

Unlike you I'm not interested in spending a disproportionate amount of time on this forum offering spurious advice and ridiculing other members of the Apple family who don't agree with my way of thinking. Generally I have an incredible amount of time for fellow Apple users. You are indeed the exception to the rule and seem very detrmined in trying to upset everybody.

I think you will find that it is your childish inane inaccurate comments that have kept this thread going which I suppose we should be grateful for!

As JaDub said: "You generally sound like a bitter idiot" personally I think JaDub was being polite.

As you used to say: Cheerio !!!!!!

    Good Luck

Anywhere between a happy meal ($3) and $30 million dollars, given that 1 in 10 lion users "hate it".

Still interested in where you sourced your figures from, but oh well, I suppose you can bandy around any figures that give you a thrill. Isn't it strange how one response brings out the biggest trolls around these threads whose knowledge goes no further than 'spaces', indicitave of cranial capacity I presume, and Software, I don't know what crush you had on this girl mm but it really sounds childish as your only arguement here.

Anyhow, seeing this is a thread where all the 'oldies' hang out, you can have it and I'll stay on the productive threads.

Oh and don't forget Mountain Lion (No Spaces Included) is out later in the year.

    Cheerso (if that was correct)

Oh, please! MM, as an "ex-psychiatric nurse" (in your own words) you should know that a person's identity cannot be disguised behind a mere name change (let's not even mention the use of same sentence structure patterns, vocab choices, and spelling mistakes, but hey...I've spent a few years in linguistic analysis )

On a more serious note, while I personally don't really mind your daft posts and even enjoy the occassional banter with you from time to time for light relief, I do wonder whether, rather than channelling and avoiding your issues through seeking conflict in forums likes these, you might not be better off actually getting some help?

    Just a thought.

Petermac87 or MM - he's an "ex-psychiatric nurse - that is a classic example of the lunatics taking over the asylum !!!!!!!

Interestingly, I just posted a new topic in the Snow Leopard forum which got removed by the moderators in less than a minute. Unacceptable behaviour as a result of which I'm signing off from ASC for good. Not only did you lose someone who helps reduce your tech support costs by helping other usrs, you also made an enemy out of a customer. Bad move, business wise.

This post will no doubt be removed forthwith, but since its my last, who cares. This is (more or less), what I posted in the Snow Leopard thread:

With all that cash to burn, will Apple let Snow leopard go out to the Open Source community? Since they've already shown they don't care about the old customer base and are targeting the burgeoning entertainment market generated around the iPad and iPhone, they can hardly be worried about the competition. Indeed, if they let volunteers take over the development of SL, all they'd have to do is release the hardware specs to ensure all the old disaffected "I'll never upgrade to Lion/Mountain Lion" users continue to buy Apple hardware.

    It's a win-win situation. What's the drawback?

Oh and by the way, since I am active on a number of Apple-related forums apart from this one and run a reasonably popular Apple-related blog here:

    http://applehelpwriter.com/

don't think by losing my voice on this forum you have silenced a critic. On the contrary, you've just increased your negative publicity exponentially.

(Cheer up, MM. One less thorn in your side, at least. ).

Softwater whilst I sympathise I think I can appreciate why Apple removed your post

Don't take the hump and disappear. Your contribution is valued by a lot of people.

I've been using Snow Leopard for the recent months while developing, All of my other macs are on Lion and I forgot how easy spaces is to use. I really enjoy Spaces. I configured Lion to work with the "Desktops" and it's not as easy. I am curious what they do with Mountain Lion, will the Desktops be easier to use... Anyway, i do enjoy developing with Spaces, my time developing is cut, tremendously.

    p.s.

it makes no sense to get upset when someone in a semi-open forum challenges or disagrees with you. Who cares, they make no barring on your life unless you allow them to do so. They are not paying your bills or feeding you, you do all of that on your own. Why leave a community because of a bruised ego ? it is what it is. xx

For what it's worth, here's another late feedback after several months of Lion Use: I noticed today that I don't use Mission Control as much / as efficiently as I used Spaces.

I do appreciate the clearer appearance of the application windows, with the app icon identifiying it, ...

For me, it basically comes down to using Mission Control as an "Exposé+", since I have somehow progressively abandoned the use of different "desktops" although I was a fervent user of Spaces.

Even tried to add "Witch" for better handling of the different windows of one single application, seems like a good program but does not work for me either.

I have never been able to return to the efficient workflow that I had developed with Spaces + Exposé.

Still regretting Snow Leopard a lot for that.
