    Is the PowerBook wireless-enabled? If so, you can simply network the computers and share files.

     

    It would be nice to know what Mac OS version is on the PowerBook and what is on the MBA. Might make a difference in the recommendations.

    The possibilities are:

    1. wireless network; depending on the amount of data you have, this may be slow; if you older PB has wl capabilities, this is the simplest way to solve your issue;

    2. ethernet cable; you need an eth-to-USB adaptor for you Air, I had one when having that same model, and was very useful sometimes;

    3. use an external disk, transfer files unto it, then from it to the new computer. This is fast enough and, besides, you should have a backup disk anyway.
