Right now I am able to view my Wiki data only through http://localhost/wiki when I try http://mydomain.com/wiki I get a 404 Not Found.

One thing that I think is interesting is that http://localhost and http://mydomain.com both give me the "Welcome to Lion Server" page.

I enabled the Wiki service and the Web service both through the Server application.

My first thought was that I needed to configure a "Web Site" under the Web service to point to the proper directory location (such as in Snow Leopard Server).  I've tried several different directories for the "Store Site Files In" field, such as "/Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default" and "/usr/share/collabd/coreclient/public" to no avail.

The Lion Server documentation shows how to migrate wikis, but I didn't see anything about configuring the service (either in the Wiki service or the Web service).

Any ideas?  Thanks.

Also, when I click on "View Wiki" from the Wiki service in Server, it takes me to https://FQDN/wiki and gives the same 404 Not Found error.

Well the Wiki service doesn't dump any log information when I try to http://mydomain.com/wiki which makes sense if the problem is the Web service not pointing the request to the proper directory location; I still don't know where that is.

I'm trying /Library/Server/Wiki/FileData but I'm getting a permission problem.  Makes me think that isn't the expected spot, but I guess I'll mess with the permissions and find out.

Can anyone who has successfully configured their Lion Server to run the Wiki service using a domain name comment on how the Web service was configured?  Thanks.

Has anyone successfully added virtual hosts via the Server App's Web service and had the Wiki service work properly?

I found by deleting all of the "Web Sites" in the Web service, other than the one created by default, I can access the wiki through the machine's FQDN (http://whatever.com/wiki/projects).  Once I add a "Web Site" (virtual host), the ability to access the wiki is gone.  However, I can still access the wiki from http://localhost/wiki/projects (naturally I'm troubleshooting from the server itself).  Why would adding virtual hosts via the Server.app cause the wiki to not be accessible through the default?

I tried to uncomment the following lines in the virtual host file (after I stop the Web service), but when I start the Web service back up, it just removes these lines entirely.  I'm not sure why these commented-out lines would even be in there if the intention wasn't to be able to uncomment them and enable the services for the domain name.  Any insight?

My current thought is that there is a port conflict with the Web service and the Wiki service.

I guess I'm just documenting this for future me.

One problem was that I was selecting the machine's ip address for the field "IP Address" in the Web service; this apparently needs to be left on "Any".

I can now access the Wiki service, through the machine's hostname, and have virtual hosts at the same time.  Does anyone know how to configure the Web service so that the Wiki service is accessible through a domain name other than the machine's hostname?

I am wondering this same thing. I've done a lot of searching and not yet found the answer...
