Thanks Carolyn but that does not do it.  Like I said, it was the same issue with MobileMe.  I hope someone from Apple can shed some light on this.  Was hoping there would be an improvement with ICloud.

And is this the same computer/browser/network that was very slow with Mobile Me?

Has anyone come up with a solution for this huge problem?  Just switched Mobileme to iCloud (windows 7) and seriously can't use it thanks to the ridiculously long load times and spinning wheels of death!  This is APPLE?  Seriously?   Is anyone there working on this and have a solution?   Or do I have to find a new email?

I originally posted a reply in November.  Since then, Apple has done absolutely nothing to fix this issue.  Apparently, this is the new face of Apple, sell as much as possible and forget about the customers.  Well, as of today, I no longer care; I switched over to Gmail and Google calendar.  It has been a very simple transition and everything is working very effectively and rapidly.  Thanks Google!

I tried this several times with no help.  I'm glad you have noticed improvement, but I have seen none.

Having the same issue today.  Was trying to use my Safari browser to search my email via icloud.com and it is slow and mostly unresponsive.  Fix it please.

I wish I had a solution but I don't. I'm having the same issue as you. I too was a Mobile Me subscriber for years and the performance miserable. I kept the service year after year because I didn't want to lose my email address. I feel like a fool. Apple's web based apps (Mail, iCal, etc.) have never worked. Even Steve Jobs blew up with his staff because the services simply did not work. It's just unbelievable that with this new iCloud service I can't even open an email after 10 minutes plus of loading. And don't even try to search for an email if you don't have a few hours to sit waiting. Just unbelievable. What a rip off. I'd say I'm throught with Apple forever, but what's the atlernative? We're still in the dark ages of computing I suppose.

Yes, it is very much a slow app if you can even get it to load. I have times where it has issues loading or signing in with any browser. On a Mac or a PC. I have stopped blaming my hardware because I have experienced no issues on any other site. Sad part is Apple rarely does a good job updating problems unless they are widespread with iCloud. I have pretty much written off iCloud as not reliable enough to be anything but a free alternative service for iTunes and other Apple transactions. My first turnoff of iCloud was its inability to support anything but Lion OS on a Mac.

Apple needs to get these Mail & iCloud bugs fixed yesterday! This is prime for a class action lawsuit over lost business. I've never had an issue before after upgrading but this takes the cake and has been a huge waste of time, energy and money.

Thanks folks, this is the motivation I need to move over to Gmail.  This issue is absurd.

Did you check how old this thread is?

And that it is/was the only on the subject.
