What do you mean by "toolbar" in this context?
The strip across the top of the screen? That's called the 'main menubar'.
The collection of icons (applications and folders) at the bottom of the screen? That's called the 'Dock'.

Hi, Tanya -
That then is not an IMac toolbar, nor is it a Lion toolbar.
From what you posted, I guess this must be the toolbar at the top of a Safari window, correct?
If it is in Safari, go to the View menu and select "Show Toolbar".

Sorry about not specifying Safari. However, I already tried what you suggested. And when I go to "customize toolbar" nothing there will drag up as it says to do. It's very frustrating not to be able to go backwards.
Any other suggestions? (I just tried Chrome and Foxfire, and they both have back arrows, so I think I'll switch to one of them.)
