Mar 26, 2012 12:23 PM in response to JCGCby King_Penguin,You can delete a book from the iBooks app via the Edit button at the top right of the bookshelf, and you can hide (and unhide) ibooks from your Purchased list (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919), but you can't currently permanently delete items from your purchase history.

Jan 12, 2013 5:08 PM in response to King_Penguinby Rob van Olmen,I have just purchased an ipad and put a lot (5000) books on it. I managed to delete most of these, but still 195 books still remain. I cannot delete these a second time, but they do stay visible in ibooks. I cannot open these items in ibooks In itunes they are no longer visible.
How can i get rid of these 195 books?
Regards, rob.

Dec 21, 2014 10:10 PM in response to King_Penguinby yoshimifromel segundo,Hey, I tried this, but it is still saved to my ICloud. The problem is, that it is a trashy book I downloaded free a long time ago, now I am sharing books with my kid, and I don't want him seeing this one! It shows up under his phone with the download cloud next to it. Can someone help me?

iTunesIf you've hidden it then try logging out and back into your account on his phone and see if it still shows in the cloud on it for redownloading

Apr 9, 2016 4:06 PM in response to yoshimifromel segundoby Canuckbizman,Yes, this is definitely not a good feature, even if you don't have any adult content books. We should be able to delete permanently any of our downloaded/purchased content. Come on Apple, get with it and fix this "feature"!!!!!
