Time stretching an audio file directly in the arrange window by holding down the Option key causes Logic 9.1.6 to crash. ONLY when running in 64 bit mode.

iMac i7, 8gb Ram latest model.

Called apple support who had the same negative result.

Update by Apple was released today, but no mention about that particular problem. Don't really wanna update in the middle of a production anyhow.

Anybody got a fix ???

Thanks

    Hi

This is aparently fixed in 9.1.7?

Make a duplicate of your v9.1.6 in the Applications folder and re-name it so you'll have both versions available

Oh really, it is supposed to be fixed in v 9.1.7

Then I'll have to give it a try.

Did I understand correctly that just by ""renaming"" Logic 9.1.6 inside the application folder it will keep it functioning in case I wanna revert to it later??

    Thanks !

Yep (but you will probably still need one called "Logic Pro" to get Software Update to see it)

I have mine setup to quickly switch from 32bit to 64 bit (2 copies with different names) and also previous versions.... works fine

Groovy. I will do all of that right now.

    PS: One more concern.

I'm still running OS X 7.2   Would you update to 7.3 or would you rather leave it as is for now.

I'm mainly concerned about third parties plugins  (Revolver, Waves, Amplitube, Antaris Autotune, Camel, Softube) just to name a few in case you made experiences with those plugins.

    Thanks again !

The update actually fixed my problem.

    Thanks CCTM !
