Perhaps I've not made myself clear enough! I have extension speakers, but not Apple Hi-Fi speakers. They are audio engine 5. They are great speakers and one speaker has a built in amplifier. This means, I can plug my Ipod in the the top and play music by just plugging the speakers in the 110 power. I do not know if they have IR capability. I thought the IR was to be on the Ipod Classic 80 GB itself and the IR on the remote could be paired in this fashion. If not, what do need to do to play karaoke music through these speakers? I thought purchasing a docking pad was all I needed, but apparently I'm wrong.
I thank you for your answers in advance. I check everyday to see if someone can help me. I'm preparing for a lot of karaoke performances in the coming weeks. Please, help me out!

I don't see how this advice is going to help me if I don't want to play my music through itunes, but the Ipod.
Please, clarify how this is going to help me.
