First you need to check that your current Mac meets the System Requirements for Both Snow Leopard and Lion...

If it does... then you need to Purchase the Snow Leopard Disc and Install...
And then Purchase and Install Lion...

Would Also Recommend that you do a Bootable Clone Backup of your current Hard Drive Before attempting any Major Upgrade...

Apr 2, 2012 2:58 PM in response to RealBanjoboyby Király,Are you using a retail Snow Leopard DVD (with the picture of the big cat on it)? That's the only one that will work.
If your DVD drive is really broken, and if you have access to another computer (Mac or PC) with a DVD drive, you might be able to use Remote Install: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2129 or try to borrow a USB DVDdrive from a friend.
