Problems using viber on iPhone 4S

    Thanks for the tip but I've already asked for the SMS but it wouldn't come through, hence not allowing me to reactivate the service

    The authorities in the UAE have decided to block Viber in the whole country, and that is why you are experiencing this issue. Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help

    Try contacting the authorities and ask for the reason for this block.

    Hi Viber

    I still have the issue with the red bar, missing sound. Even with the latest release. It seems I only get the problem, when toggling between speaker and phone. Then the sound disappear, the caller can still hear me but I have totaly silence. The ringtone is gone too when a new call is attempted. Red bar is in the top after the loss of sound.

    I need to reboot the phone to get the sound back.

    I'm on 5.1 and iPhone 4S.

    I have Viber on iphone 4. Every time I change the notifications settings so that the sounds are turned off, I get a constant message telling me that "notifcations are off" when I use Viber - I don't want the sound alerts turned on as they interrupt work meetings, etc. every time I receive a text through Viber. Is there a way to turn off the sound alerts and not get the "notification are off message"?

    Hi,

     

    I'm not sure I fully understand your meaning... In order to turn off the sound of Viber's notifications, you need to put your phone on Silent. Turning off Viber's Push Notifications should not affect the sound.

     

    When you make your phone Silent (using the button on the left), does Viber still make noise upon events?

    Hi Viber team,

     

    Are you aware of the volume issue? I installed viber last night and today my ipod volume seemed very low. I uninstalled it and the voume was fine. I did try re installing to replicate it but it didn't work. Seems a few others on here have had the same issue although not that many.

    Please provide the following information so we could find the source of the problem:
    1. What iPhone are you using? Which version of iOS?

    2. Are you running the latest version of Viber?

    3. Have you tried uninstalling Viber, reboot, then reinstalling? Does the problem persist?

    I have iphone 4s and i have installed and reinstalled viber many times because the problem of siund (it works only when open speakerphone) how i can solve this issue?????

    Ok viber team so here is another problem, i have installed viber (iphone 4) but when someone is calling i don't recieve any notifications. Only when i am within the application do i get notifications of incoming calls. Otherwise it works fine. I have tried reinstalling the app but the same problem persists.

    P.s i have got viber on another iphone 4 and works fine.

    Hi Viber!

     

    I am experiencing the following problem with Viber.

    The up to date software is installed on two Iphones, both in my possession, first one a 4G and the second a 4S.

    Same version on both Iphones: 2.1.5.270

    If I want to make a call from the 4G to the 4S is it saying that I have an older version installed on the 4S, and I should reinstall the new version.

    If viceversa, the 4S is telling me that the user on 4G does not have Viber installed.

    I uninstalled, reinstalled, updated IOS, the problem persists.

    4G is in Orange Romania

    4S is in Vodafone Romania

     

    Please advise.

    The cause of this problem might be the fact that your iPhone is jailbroken/hacktivated, and that interferes with Push Notifications in your iPhone.     Hmm...

    This problem could occur due to connectivity problems with our servers.

    Since we know that Vodafone Romania's 3G network is blocking Viber, this could be a possible source of this issue.

     

    Please try the following: uninstalling Viber on both devices (unfortunately this will result in deletion of Viber's message history in both). Then connect to a high-speed WiFi network where you know (for sure) that Viber was working beforehand. Now install Viber on both devices, give it several minutes, and then test it again. Does the problem persist?

    Thank you vey much! I will definetely try to use Viber over WiFi and will come back with a resolution. Was not aware that Vodafone RO was blocking Viber.

    Hi Viber Team!

     

    Connected to a high-speed WiFi network, the Vodafone mobile phone is working perfect. So, you were correct. The problem stems from the carrier, in this case Vodafone Romania. Thank you for you support! Much appreciated.
