How do I open Appleworks documents with Iworks Pages 9.03?

    Pages can open AppleWorks 6 word processing documents that are dragged to its Dock icon or opened from within the program. The same is true for Numbers and AppleWorks 6 spreadsheets, and Keynote with AppleWorks 6 presentations. The iWork applications won't open other types of AppleWorks 6 documents or any AppleWorks 5 or earlier document.

    If you want to have your applicable AppleWorks 6 documents open automatically in Pages, Numbers, or Keynote (as appropriate), do a Get Info on one of a given type of AppleWorks 6 documents. In the Get Info window, look down to the section "Open with:". Select the appropriate program from that pulldown menu, then click the "Change All" button.

     

    Repeat as needed with one each of the other AppleWorks 6 type files.
