He's already said that he's working on maintaining builds for Mountain Lion, so we can carry this NEEDED functionality into the next osx release (before I consider moving to gnome or kde again ;-)

I would pay cash money for that in a heartbeat.  As long as it runs stable and fast (no slow Lion animations).  Tell him we're looking forward to it!

if you want to see ReSpace grow, please stop by the switchstep formums, on the respace site, and give some thoughts/input/thanks to the devs, they seem to greatly appreciate it.  In the mean time some users have donated to the project in advance, and have been told they'll be getting free licenses for their early donation support; or at least they said that when they initially launched the ReSpace website.

Yeah, I wanted to do that. But in order to log in to talk to those people you need to have your privacy scrutinized by some club like Facebook. I think I'm too old fashioned for that.

I am using ReSpaceApp now for a couple of days... Try to be a beta user on it with 3 monitors and 4 desktops... It just runs!!! 1 request though.. Apps which are set to all desktops, if they would stand still, it would be even better.... but I am glad got spaces back.. easier to work in a matrix than in a sequential line...

    Keep up the good work!

I will not be donating towards a function that I was happy to see removed, and I bet, as usual, that about 95% of the few people who will use ReSpace, if it is ever up and running as a Delta, will not even have the decency to make a donation towards it anyway. Most of these users thing it is their given right to have Spaces back, even if it means installing a third party hack for free. Sad but true.

They don't plan to launch for free... so how will users NOT pay for? Donations during beta... licenses required after beta...

Why are you on this thread? No one asked for your donation. Get lost.

I think because it's a public thread, but do appreciate the more technical approach of 'Get Lost'. Well done and bravo.

Unfortunately this thread has gone from useful to an advertisment for a product not released yet and seriously, to anybody's knowledge you could be advertising your own product here, or that of a friend, for financial gain. I would hope not, but do feel free to drop back after the product is released and provide the old Snow Leopard Space Users with a simple link (I notice this has been something missing from your previous rivetting posts).

    Good Luck

@petermac87 , its nice to hear that you dont agree with the sentiment/TITLE of THIS THREAD.  You appear to not seek a spaces replacement, unlike those of us seeking and helping eachother with solutions in this thread.  Most of us in this thread are here because we would like to GET SPACES FUNCTIONALITY BACK, and are sharing and helping others do just that, thus the title of this thread.  Please offer something constructive, as per the name of the thread, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

Maybe MC won't be so laggy anymore also..... (prays to God on that one....)

All this could have been avoided by not breaking what already worked....

I'm using the beta of TotalSpaces on my new MBPr and am very happy with it. I used spaces heavily in SL and have not updated my home iMac because of it. I will be upgrading all my Lion & M Lion compatible Mac's this weekend. The only thing I'm missing from SL Spaces is the grid with multiple displays. This is minor for sure, but it would be nice to see the grid on all displays rather than just the primary. Love this product and will be purchasing it when it comes out of beta.

It seems Tim Cook is now addressing the first question of my original post. Late, but not too late. Only that was just a minor gripe.

    Spaces Tim, Spaces!
