I am new in Mac and I would like to know how exactly PLACES are used in Iphoto. When watching the video posted on Apple site is there a possibility to drag the photos and place them on the place the photo has been taken, it means, when you google any place it shows the pictures around that area, I hope you understand what I mean.

Also I would like to make a picture of the place it means the map where the picture has been taken in case I want to print an album.

I have been looking around and I haven't find  the step by step on how to do that.

Also my Iphoto icons lost all the colors and I am thinking if I reinstall it would the icons colors will be back again.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

No, if you google a place you won't see your Photos, but if you use the Map view in places it will take you to the photos from those locations.

The coloured icons are gone. They were removed from the interface by Apple in an update.

iPhoto menu -> Provide iPhoto Feedback  and let them know what you think.

    Regards

Thank you for your reply, however my questions are:

1 - When watching the Iphoto video posted on Apple site  they show  the photos  on the place the photo has been taken. As an example Google. However would be my photos on my computer on the places I took, not for Google.... I have mentioned Google as an example.

2 - I would like to add a picture on the map where the picture has been taken in case I want to print an album. This option I have seen in the video for Album creation on Apple site.

I know that if I google a place I won't see my Pictures, however in the Iphoto movie from Apple website it is possible to add a Picture at the map the picture has been taken for personal use not for Public use as Google.

In regards to Map view I know that I can do it, but my question are different than that.

    I appreciate your answer.
