Apr 5, 2012 1:07 AM in response to achowby a brody,It should be exactly the same HDMI port. The only difference may be the graphics chip support which affects certain games. Now the 2011 mini-DisplayPort is a Thunderbolt port, which is not fully compatible with all mini-Displayport connectors out there, though most should work.

Apr 5, 2012 7:16 AM in response to a brodyby achow,I was hoping the same thing, but could not find any documentation on it.
I need a statement like: "Mac mini is designed to work with HDMI devices that comply with versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.2a, 1.3, 1.3a, and 1.4 of the HDMI specification."
I particularlly need a Apple statement like the above for the mid 2011 versions. Knowledge Base entry HT4214 specifcially states only the Mac mini (Mid 2010).
If you look at the specs on the apple site, the statement that worries me is "Works with almost any display or HDTV" which is such a vauge statement that it has raised some questiosn that it is not compliant.
