Hello,

Since a restart of my Mac mini Lion Server I can't start the smtp server anymore.

In the smtp log I get repeatitly the error message:

postfix/master[55966]: fatal: bind: private/smtpd: Invalid argument

Can someone please help me with this? I have reset the main.cf and master.cf with the default ones, but the problem is somewhere else.

Erik Hagemeijer.

Same thing here and about 20 other posts on the web say the same, no answers. Boooo. All after no updates, major changes or any funny business. Just a simple restart and BAM!

Just lost the client over this issue. They were tired of dealing with all the problems with Apple's server lately and hired a Windows tech. Time to find an alternative to Apple server-ish tech so I can continue to make a living.

I too am having the exact same problem and it is very sad that there is no help anywhere on the forums or in any of the manuals despite its long existance here.  Can someone with Apple please respond, this is going to cause an abandonment of the server if I cannot somehow resolve.
