Hello,

I recently had a problem on my PC which resulted in the loss of a number of image files (caused by the beta version of Bluestacks Android app player if anyone's interested).  Among those lost were a number of wallpapers that I had made for my iPad.  I had a backup but that was missing about 15 new ones that I'd made.

All of the images were synced to the iPad via iTunes and are presently safe and sound on the iPad.  Can I get them back onto my PC in any way?  I'm reluctant to sync again until I know I won't lose them!

Thank you,

Ben.

I'm sorry to hear that :( ipictures synced with iTunes can be emailed and redownloaded to the device via the mail app that is the only solution for this issue :)

There are third-party iPad apps such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can be used to copy photos off your iPad via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

Another app is photosync.  Transfers wireless over your wifi network.  Also, good old Dropbox is a free solution.

Connect your iPad to your PC. Go to Winows Explorer and search or it as you would for any other external device such as a USB key. Dig through the folders to locate the photos, select, copy, go to you PC and select where you want to locate them and paste!
