Apr 11, 2012 10:30 AM in response to PetersPowermacG4by BGreg,Bring up Activity Monitor, look at the system memory tab, and at page ins and page outs. If page outs is 10% to 15%, or more, of page ins, you can use more memory for what you run. A page out is where the system writes a block of memory to the hard drive to make room for something else. Too much of that can impact performance.
