Not sure what you are asking here. There is no "QuickTime Pro" software to be downloaded and if you already have the confirmation key (and name under which you purchased it), then all you need is the appropriate version of the QT 7 Player installed. Which version that is will depend on the system OS under which you are currently operating. All QT 7 Player versions are free downloads.

You are refering to the standard version of quicktime jon, there is a pro version of it which allows you to convert video files into apple formats so you can view them on your ipod, ipad or apple tv. Thats the version that I purchased before and now I only see it as a buy it version

Yes, I am because there is no such thing as a separate "Pro" version of QT 7 and the fact remains that only what you call the "standard" version of the QT 7 Player can be upgraded to "Pro" status. Basically, the editing functions are built into the QT 7 structure now embeddied in the Mac OS but are turned off in the Player GUI until or unless you apply your key and the name under which you purchased that key. Since you are unable or unwilling to indicate which OS version you are using, it is impossible to state which QT 7 Player GUI must be keyed for "Pro" use on your system. However, since you seem to be unfamiliar with/don't recall how this process works, HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE LATEST PLAYER VERSION CURRENTLY SUPPORTED BY BOTH SNOW LEOPARD AND LION and which also contain a link to the associated QT Player GUI download page for these operating systems. Older operating systems require different QT 7 GUI apps to be installed which match the version of the QT 7 structure already embedding in the specific OS being used.

elcharro, I think I understand your problem.  I had the same question but managed to figure it out. You download the free version of quicktime and then look for the link that lets you upgrade to pro with the key you purchased previously. I don't know where the link is just now but with some searching you can find it. A direct link on the pro confirmation page would have been nice but I guess that was too difficult for them.

In my case I had purchased the 6.0 version some time ago. when 7 came out I was all too happy to download the new free version only to find out afterward the 6.0 pro I paid 25 bucks for a month before was obsolete. Read the fine print!!!!!

Now that I've got my 7.7.1 pro running I'm having problems. There seems to be a glitch in it. When I use it to save .mov fliles created on my camera they will no longer play. That is why I'm here today. If anybody can help please feel free to chime in. Russfelix
