I am using the Lion Mail but ran into a wried situation. After sending emails with attachment, the receiver can not see the attachment but the size of the email is apparently has the attachment.

Then I use iphone mail to forward the email sent on Mac, the receiver can see the attachment correctly. Does anyone have the same problem and with a good solution?

Thanks very much,

Jack

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I use mail for an exchange account and for gmail - every time I forward an attchment they do not show up on the other end.

Same issue, My colleagues using Outlook only see text and can't open anything, I've had better luck when sending to a user working with Outlook web app but with mixed results (you can open it but the message is not flagged as containing any attachment).

When I send my original message to my own Ipad and forward it again, it works.

Me too. And I'm not using it with Exchange or Outlook or anything else. And it works in the other direction as well -- I get the paperclip, but the attachment is nowhere to be found. I search for the file name and it isn't on my hard drive.

I personally think that Lion is a bust. I am about to have to reformat both my hard drives -- at Apple's recommendation, no less! -- to try and fix the myriad of problems I am having.

What happens when you click (or double-click) on the paperclip?

BTW, all the mail is saved in the directory:

    ~Library/Mail

Try zipping the attachment first and then sending it.

Nothing happens when I double click on the paperclip.  And the paperclip only shows up in the inbox listing, not in the email itself.

By the way, again, this is happening in both directions. Receiving and sending. So zipping isn't going to help. Plus, I shouldn't have to do that. There's something wrong. The attachments are files like jpgs and word docs and pdfs. Nothing huge.

And while all the mail may be saved, the attachments are nowhere to be found. Poof.

Same problem here, is there already a bug-fix? Mail is very unreliable in our company right now, so if there is no solution we have to switch to another platform or mail program.
