    This is the Solution.

..For getting your money back. Please change your passwords.  Review any recently downloaded apps, as it's likey this is how they hacked in (eg, one that might require a certificate . )

Thank you, from myself, and everyone else who is fortunate enough to stuble on your post.

Maybe this will help you. Here's what I did:

    I went to this link:

    https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do?PRKEYS=133314

    selected iTunes under Product Categories

selected iTunes store in the next section

    selected "Purchases, Billing & Redemption"

on the new page selected "My topic is not listed" and typed in something like fraudulent activity or unauthorized purchases then clicked the enter button

on the next page I entered my transaction information, which I got from the iTunes platform under my account/recent purchases or somethng like that

    proceed as screen says to

    GOOD LUCK!

    Itunes hacker

My husband was travelling out of town and I checked our checking account to make sure he had cash for incidentals in our joint account and noticed a charge for $109.00 from itunes. I was shocked to see the charge and immediately new it was fraudlulent.  Went to my bank and filed a fraud charge. This happened yesterday and I am now waiting for the charges to post.  After further investigation and internet searching, we think we know what happened.  My daughter was trying to download an app a few days ago and itunes wouldn't let her download from her itouch without first inputing updated credit card information and securtiy codes.   we think someone was looking for our info.  I tried logging in yesterday when I returned fromt he bank and was unable as the passowrd had been changed.  I went in and deleted my card info to none and changed my password.  Anxious to see what will happen after the charges post.  Cancelled my card and will never again use it to purchase anything from itunes. We have several apple products and the lack of support from apple is very aggravating.  Don't people have better things to do than make other people miserable?

I wanted to update about my ordeal, which I have posted on page 97 in a couple differnet posts.

I was contacted by Arun the other day, following up and asking if I had any other issues. I told him I had not received my refund yet. He replied that they had sent a charge back to my bank. Uh, how did iTunes get my bank account information for one and two I wanted to know why they just couldn't refund paypal. He told me because it was a charge back to my bank I would need to contact my bank about the refund, that there was nothing else iTunes could help me with regarding the refund. He never answered why they weren't refunding paypal. As of this evening nothing has come through to my bank from Apple/iTunes.

I got an email from Paypal yesterday, I believe, letting me know that the unauthorized transaction disputes I opened the morning the transaction were made, were being refunded.

In the end it was PAYPAL that refunded my money, while Apple/iTunes did NOTHING to get me my money back. Needless to say I am NOT happy with Apple/iTunes at all right now. It's just absurd how they are [not] handling this garbage.

My account was hacked two years ago and Apple handled the situation terribly.

I realized that something was wrong when I couldn't log into my account to update an app. I called my credit card company and found out that the hacker had spent almost $300 on apps and music. My credit company was incredibly helpful and contacted Apple to investigate the situation.

I e-mailed Apple to get an explanation(I was living abroad at the time and couldn't call the store associated with my country) and it really took them a while to react.

My e-mail address had been changed and I did not even receive an e-mail telling me that the information had been changed. I asked Apple to provide me with the IP address of whoever was downloading these apps so I could report it to the police. The response I got was this: "we apologize, but we cannot do that because we need to protect the privacy our customers."

    Seriously?

Ofcourse, they refused to pay for the purchases made on my credit card.  Thankfully, my credit card company covered it.

After e-mailing back and forth with Apple, my account was deactivated and after getting a new password again, had it reactivated. It was only then that I was able to see what this hacker had dowloaded- very expensive apps, ranging from Chinese-Japanese dictionaries to games, as well as music.

I avoid putting my credit card info on iTunes and instead buy the gift card- but even that doesn't look safe anymore.

I'm a very casual user of ITunes/App's... Have a desk top Mac & an IPad... Can't remember last time I purchaused an app, let alone a tune...

Had a rude awakening when splurging for lunch with a co-worker at Taco Bell. Went to pay with my credit card, denied! Thank god I had some cash... 45 minutes later on a call using the provided number on the back of the credit card, found out the suspicious purchased to cause the bank to shut down my card was a $500 puchase at the Beverly Hill Hotel and $600 at an Apple store... The Apple purchased was the red flag for the bank is all I got out of them. I travel a lot and really questioned over and over why these particula purchases would stick out.. All I got was they were seeing a number of suspicious activies from Apple store purchases.. I then called my bank for my savings account worried about my bank account being hacked... that was when I was educated a tad more on what is going on with Apple being broke into their ITunes data storege for CC numbers... nice... Thank god I am not left holding the bag for the fruadulate purchases... Wells Fargo/Visa isn't holding me to this...

Looks like crime has taken a bite out of the Apple... Perhaps they need to change their logo adding a bite out of the left side... better yet, a cute worm poking it's head out of the side

Computers like cars, once they break down, you never really trust them again... Needless to say, I won't be in any hurry to update my new credit card in ITunes!!!

And the thing that really ****** me off, my 4 Dorito tacos were cold by the time I got to them!

First I have heard of anyone getting a CC number out of Apple/iTunes and using it elsewhere besides the iTunes store. Every post in this thread (and all others) simply has charges against their iTunes account.

Another hack job. This was done to my husband's itunes account, his info was changed to John Kloecker, 1940 NW 46th St, Lincoln, NE 68528. And the credit card was changed as well. Maybe this is a way to try to use stolen credit card numbers. Everything has now been reset, so hopefully this won't happen again.

I had my account hacked today at 2:30am by someone in China. They bought Texas Poker and 3400000 chips, and then another 60000 chips. I've contacted apple about the issue and am hope for a refund. I very rarely use the internet to buy things, so there is know way that I put my password into a dodgy website. The only way they could have gotten in is to have hacked it - so what can I do to stop this happening again?

My account appears to have been hacked and they are using my credit card details rather than the account itself. Apple been very unhelpful at moment or just playing dumb.  Had to cancel all my cards whilst my bank and apple look into it.

Just got hacked for TWO $40 purchases.  Had to cancel my CC and emailed apple.  Apparently Apple doesn't care, or isn't interested in fixing this.

How has this not reached the media yet?  I've only been monitoring this forum and another since my account got hacked a few weeks back and its obvious that the majority of what is going on is not caused my account/password phising.  I know in my situation that there is no way someone was guessing my password to get into my account.  Someone had to hack apple to get to see my credit card info.  My password was 9 characters, random numbers/letters, upper and lower case and symbols and ONLY used on the Apple itunes store.

So, does anyone know anyone in the press or popular websites that can force investigation here?  Because I tell you what, something is going on, and it'll be a cold day in **** before Apple ever gets my credit card again.

I have an overly-complex password for iTunes.  I'm an iOS developer.

So, reading the forums here, sounds like they used my CC with another person's account. (I'm guessing).  I didn't receive any purchase details.  I got an email alert from my CC, I get alerts every time someone makes a purchase.  But nothing from Apple.  And no record of any purchases on iTunes. None of my account details were altered.

from apple: "to prevent further purchasing, I've disabled the iTunes account that was using your credit card. I have also disallowed your card from being used on the iTunes Store. "
