I created a howto video for adding a Wow Slider in to iWeb:

There's plenty of choice for slideshows. You need to decide which kind is appropriate for your needs...

you can use iweb photos page's slideshow: http://iweb3widgets.cyclosaurus.com/AutoSlideshow/AutoSlideshow.html
there is not need to do anything outside iweb for slideshow.

Sorry to hijack this thread to some degree. I have been wanting to incorporate a slideshow into my iWeb created blog for a while, but know very little about coding.
For example, you can see that I have text and then a whole bunch of photos in http://www.jmlblog.com/JML_Blog/Blog/Entries/2011/3/21_Grand_Caymans.html.
In a perfect world, I would like to be able to organize these photos into a slideshow so 1. they don't take up so much space; 2. the photos are larger; and 3. I can add captions.
I prefer the appearance of slideshows like Galleria, SimpleViewer or Banana Album, but none of these appear to have the ability to add captions.
So my questions are 1. Do any these slideshows have the ability to add captions? 2. How does a coding neophyte incorporate one of these slideshows into an iWeb created website?

Flash slideshows are not a good idea since they won't work on iPhone/iPad.
Most of the JQuery slideshows, such as Galleria, Wow, etc can have captions.
Galleria is neat in that the slide shows an info button which pops up a description caption when clicked. You can add this feature by adding a title attribute like this...
<img src="images/1.jpg" title="Image Caption">
ot his if you are using thumbs...
<a href="images/1.jpg"><img src="thumbs/1.jpg" title="Image Caption">

why not using iweb built-in slideshow, there is no need to do extra work.
especially if you change your slideshow images often and with many images... it'll get old pretty quick.
here is iweb slideshow with caption:
here is instruction and code:

Thanks Roddy, Jeff and Cyclosaurus.
I personally prefer Galleria because you can see the thumbprints of the images below the main image, but can still progress through the larger images at your own pace.
So back to the fact that I am a neophyte with codes, how do I insert a Galleria slideshow into my blog when using iWeb? I apologize in advance if this is covered in another thread or if this information is available elsewhere.

The version shown on this page has an HTML file uploaded to the server inside the folder containing the rest of the assets...
This HTML file is then referenced in an iframe code to get the slider to display on the iWeb page. The above page has a link to the Galleria site where you can download the assets, purchase extra themes and get instructions.
Note that Galleria will generate the thumbnails from the full sized images if required but its better supply them in the correct size since the slideshow will load a lot faster that way.

Here's a responsive version showing captions. I have put them at the top of the frame but they can just as easily go at the bottom.
The responsive behavior has been added since I last looked at Galleria and you can add "swipe" for portable devices.
Just like the Anything JQuery Slider, you can also add YouTube and Vimeo movies to Galleria and set the options in the stylesheet.

Thanks Roddy. Much appreciated. I am not the OP and so cannot give you 10 points, but you have definitely given me all the information to solve my problem and create the kind of website/blog that I have wanted for a long time. Thanks again.
