When scrollng a Safari page using my fingers, on my new iPad(3), the scroll bar on the right shows up. However, I do not seem to be able to "grab" it and use it.
How do I use that scroll bar to move up and down a page rapidly?
On the pad, it is really just visual indicator to show you where you are. You do not need to gab it to scroll, just touch/hold anyplace on the page and move it up or down to school.
To scroll faster flick Yor finger up the page quickly.
Are you saying there is no fast way to go to the bottom or back to the top? That the scrollbar is just for show?
I have some webpages that are very long and it still takes a dozen or more flicks to get to the bottom.
I am not impressed.
You can go back to the top of a web page by touching the black bar at the top of the screen (containing the time).
Try Atomic, Dolphin or some of the other browsers in the App store. Many of them have scroll bars that work well. You can actually grab them to scroll the document.
